Giraffe Fridgie

materials: 4-ply yellow yarnand f hook
gauge:not important to overall size

body

ch7
row 1: sc in second ch from hook and in next 5 chs.ch1,turn.[6sc]
row 2: sc in each sc.ch1,turn.[6sc]
row 3: sc in next 2 sc.ch1,turn leaving other sts unworked,[2sc]
row 4-6: sc in next 2 sc.end off

For second leg turn body upside down.In row 3 skip next 2 sc and sc in last 2 sc.
Ch1,turn for 3 more rows.end off

neck

starts on opposite end of starting ch at the top
row 1: 1 sc in each of last 2 sc,do 5 more rows of 1 sc in each st.[2sc]
row 7: 2 sc in each sc.ch 1, turn{4sc]
row 8: 2 sc in first st,1sc in next st,1 sc in next st,[ear] ch6, sc in ln last st.[5sc+ ch 3]end off.

finishing:glue eye on.take 1 strand of brown yarn fold in half and loop thru at random in different sts down the back of neck and in front of ear.make tail also using brown yarn.

I was looking for an apple bookmark and found a cute one at lee's world.

I have been busy making items I bought from cupcake.Her items are beautiful.When I get my camera back I will put some pictures up.

I have been trying to move things around on this blog and to make this work.I have also been crocheting.We have our pool up for the summer.My granddaughters kira and kimmy are going to Kings Island today .I usually have to watch them when they are in the pool unless other family members areMy swimming also.So today I am doing other things I have been putting off.

My husband Vallis and other band members had to play music at a church last night.Check out their picture on http://sugarcreations.eponym.com/blog my other blog.They also played at a wedding this week.They have been busy.

I found lots of crochet doll clothes on BarbieBasics web page.They are easy to make and there are also free and for sale knit and crochet patterns.Take a look.

I have been making a lot of crochet items and I will have my giraffe fridgie pattern up soon.

I have been busy crocheting and designing a giraff fridgie.I also have made a set of fruit fridgies from a pattern on e-bay.

My granddaughters kira and kimberly have been shopping at the Ashland, ky mall today.They bought lots of pretty clothes.

LAMP FRIDGIE

Materials: small amounts of blue and brown worsted-weight yarn and F hook

Lamp shade

ch5 (right side) using blue
Row1: sc in second ch from hook and in next 3 chs.ch1,turn.(4sc)
Row2: 2sc in first sc,sc in next 2sc,2sc in last sc.ch1,turn.(6sc)
Row3: sc in each sc across.ch1,turn.(6sc)
Row4: 2sc in first sc,sc in next 4sc,2sc in last sc.ch1,turn.(8sc)
Row5: sc in each sc across.(8sc)End off.

Lamp pole

(right side) using brown yarn

Row1: Go to middle 2sc
Row2: sc in back loops of 2sc.ch,turn.(2sc)
Row3-7: repeat Row2.End off.

Bottom

(right side) using blue yarn
Row1: 2sc in each sc across.ch1,turn.(4sc)
Row2: 2sc in first sc,1sc in next 2sc,2sc in last sc.(6sc)End off.

Cord

using brown yarn
ch21 in last sc,sc in second ch from hook.sl st in same ch.(20sc)

Just checking in

I was looking at one of my lamps when the idea came to me to design a lamp fridgie.I haven't seen one on the internet or any book.So,I want to make it clear that it is my original pattern.
